MANATEE COUNTY, Fla.: Partial human remains were pulled from the water near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge early Saturday, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Florida Highway Patrol first took a call about a body along the northbound lanes of I-275 near the bridge. Deputies later said the remains were those of a woman and had not been identified.

The Skyway is both a commute and a known place for deaths in the water. Investigators had not said Sunday whether they were treating the case as suspicious.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
