LARGO, Fla.: Pinellas County Schools is getting smaller. The Tampa Bay Times reported Sunday that enrollment declines are not spread evenly, and that a handful of campuses are absorbing most of the empty desks.
Empty rooms become conversations about boundaries, magnet seats and, eventually, closures. The district has already lived through rounds of that fight.
Bay News will follow any boundary proposal the school board puts on an agenda this fall. Until then, the Times’ campus-level reporting is the document to read.
