PINELLAS PARK, Fla.: The National Weather Service office in Ruskin has Pinellas Park in the mid-70s overnight and around 91 on Labor Day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms still on the menu.
WFLA’s forecast called for early Gulf-coast showers to ride onshore winds inland Sunday, then a roughly 50 percent chance of storms through the afternoon. That pattern repeats, in weaker form, into Tuesday.
No tropical watch is up for the Florida peninsula tonight. The Atlantic headline is elsewhere: Hurricane Lowell, a major storm, is brushing the Hawaiian Islands with a tropical-storm warning.
