BROOKSVILLE, Fla.: A 25-year-old woman was killed Saturday when her car ran a red light and became wedged under a gasoline tanker, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash was reported about 6:30 p.m. Sept. 5 near U.S. Highway 98 and Kettering Road. FHP said the truck’s driver was not the at-fault party in the initial account.
Hernando County also spent the weekend investigating the death of a teenage boy found at a retention pond. Two fatal scenes, one small county, one holiday weekend.
