WASHINGTON: The Trump administration on Sunday renewed an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court seeking to restrict mail ballots before the midterms, according to Associated Press reporting.
Solicitor General D. John Sauer’s application asked the justices to let the administration bar the Postal Service from sending mail-in ballots to residents of states that have not met the administration’s conditions.
Voting-rights groups will file overnight. The court can sit on an emergency application or move in days. Either way, election administrators have to print envelopes now.
